Volunteers remain with each child until their case is resolved and they are placed in a safe, permanent home. Often, CASA volunteers are the only consistent adult presence in a child’s life, offering care and support during challenging times.
Role Description
This is a volunteer role located in Atchison KS and Leavenworth, KS. As a CASA Volunteer, you will advocate on behalf of children in the foster care system, ensuring their needs are met and they are placed in safe, permanent homes. Tasks include meeting with children, maintaining regular contact with families and professionals involved in the case, attending court hearings, and providing reports to judges. Volunteers must be committed to serving as a stable and supportive presence for children throughout the duration of their case.
