SUMMARY The Director of Credit Analysis leads credit analyst teams and collaborates with Credit Risk and Commercial Banking to drive effective loan analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management in support of the commercial banking strategy. This position provides strategic leadership across sales and risk management, ensures credit quality and compliance, and oversees key functions such as mentoring talent, managing loan origination systems, and setting KPIs. Additionally, the Director partners with senior leadership to establish goals, develop training programs, foster retention, and uphold confidentiality and regulatory standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leads and provides strategic guidance to Regional Commercial Production Managers and credit analyst teams, supporting commercial and credit functions to achieve bank goals and deliver exceptional customer service. Collaborates with Commercial Banking leadership to develop and execute strategies for lending growth, relationship expansion, credit quality, risk management, and customer experience. Aligns loan analysis, underwriting, and production with organizational objectives through strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration. Oversees credit, compliance, and risk management activities to maintain a healthy loan portfolio and ensure adherence to policy and regulatory standards. Assesses customer needs, market trends, and risk factors to support strategic portfolio growth and optimize resource utilization for revenue generation and disciplined credit practices. Ensures efficient, accurate, and timely loan analysis and underwriting processes. Sets departmental goals in partnership with the Chief Credit Officer and drives accountability, leadership, and effective communication to achieve those goals. Establishes, monitors, and reports on service-level KPIs and performance metrics. Mentors talent, participates in Commercial Banking meetings, and ensures data integrity across systems. Manages the commercial loan origination system to streamline processes and maintain regulatory compliance. Develops and implements consistent training programs across geographies to enhance staff capabilities and maintain uniform standards. Fosters employee retention, career development, and engagement, while upholding confidentiality and industry regulations. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES Leads Regional Commercial Production Managers, credit analyst teams, and oversees the commercial loan process to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Maintains strong, effective dotted-line relationships with Regional Presidents, Market Presidents, and other key stakeholders, collaborating as directed by the Chief Banking Officer to achieve business objectives. Performs core management duties including interviewing and training employees, planning and assigning work, evaluating performance, and resolving complaints and operational issues.
