First International Bank & Trust, a family-owned community bank, is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Associate to join our team. In this role, you’ll support Commercial Lenders, Credit Analysts, and Loan Processors throughout the loan process—from documentation and funding to servicing and customer support.

Key Responsibilities
- Enter and manage loan data for documentation and underwriting.
- Assist with collateral documentation and lien recording.
- Coordinate with Loan Operations to prepare and process loan documents.
- Complete loan funding in accordance with terms.
- Manage incoming loan documentation and ticklers.
- Support clients with loan inquiries and requests.
- Collaborate with other departments such as; Loan Servicing, Loan Origination, Credit Analysis, Credit, Review, Loan Officers, Treasury Management, and Retail Banking.
- Handle loan closings in the absence of Loan Officers.
- Accuracy and thoroughness in work.
- Adaptability to changing processes, systems & priorities in a dynamics work environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Focus on continuous improvement and quality.
- Excellent communication and listening abilities.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Associate degree from two-year college or technical school; a minimum of one-year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Commercial Real Estate or C&I loans preferred.
- Proficiency with loan systems (e.g., Navigator, Director) preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with Sageworks preferred.
