*This position is located on the island of Oahu and candidates must work in the state of Hawaii upon hire*
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
- Processes and approves applications, reinstatements, endorsements, and renewals
- Primary contact to assist agent inquiries
- Follow SOPs and guidelines to evaluate risks to determine eligibility
- Answer a high volume of calls and emails on a regular basis
- Assist department to train agency staff in formal and non-formal settings
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Experience:
- 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Able to multi-task and prioritize to complete work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to follow directions and detail oriented
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Able to conduct formal training or presentations
Associate Underwriter (including the above plus the following):
- 1 – 2 years Personal Auto and Homeowners experience or FICOH Personal Lines experience
Underwriter (including the above plus the following):
- 3 years underwriting experience that includes 2 years in Personal Lines home and auto experience
- Knowledge of Personal Lines products and processes
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- P&C license or ability to obtain license within 90 days
- Insurance designations
- Experience with FICOH products, service and systems
- Hawaii Driver’s License
Special Remarks:
- Occasional travel and periodic overtime
Salary:
$52,020 to $80,990 annually
Salary offer is based on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge , skills and experience. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
