What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Lab Office Assistant position at First Impressionz Dental Lab?
Job Summary
We are a small, tight-knit, and fun Dental Lab team looking for a proactive and organized Office Assistant to be our operational heartbeat! If you love a fast-paced environment where your work directly contributes to crafting perfect smiles and you thrive in a friendly team setting, this role is for you.
This multifaceted position bridges the gap between our amazing clients (dentists!) and our talented lab technicians, ensuring every case flows smoothly from intake to delivery.
Key Responsibilities & Day-to-Day Fun
- The "Welcome Wagon": Be the cheerful voice and face of the lab, answering phones and emails with excellent customer service, making every interaction a positive one.
- Case Captain: Master our digital tracking system! You will receive, disinfect, log, and prepare incoming dental impressions and work orders, ensuring not a single detail is missed.
- Logistics Guru: Manage shipping and receiving like a pro. You'll package finished masterpieces (crowns, bridges, etc.) for delivery and coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Data Entry Dynamo: Keep our records sparkling clean and accurate by inputting patient and case information into our lab LMS software system.
- Team Player Extraordinaire: Jump in wherever needed! Whether it’s inventory checks, organizing supplies, or helping coordinate the lab's social activities, you're always ready to help your teammates succeed.
- General Admin Ace: Handle basic filing, supply ordering, and keep the front office running efficiently and cheerfully.
What You Bring to the Team
- A Positive Vibe: A can-do attitude is a must. We value enthusiasm and a good sense of humor!
- Organization Superpowers: You know how to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively without breaking a sweat.
- Detail Orientation: You possess sharp attention to detail—crucial when dealing with precise dental work orders.
- Communication Skills: Clear, friendly communication (both written and verbal) is essential for coordinating with dentists and colleagues.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable with basic computer systems (email, MS Office, online systems) and a quick learner for our LMS lab software.
- Adaptability: In a small team, things move quickly. Flexible and happy to adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience: A high school diploma is required. Previous office, customer service, or dental experience is a bonus, but we prioritize personality and a willingness to learn!
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Small Team Culture: We’re a close-knit group that supports each other. Your work has a direct impact.
