We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Aftercare Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. Responsibilities
- Able and comfortable driving the aftercare van for pickups
- Helping aftercare students with their homework and studies
- Support children’s social-emotional growth through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Implement classroom routines that promote safety, independence, and cooperation among students.
- Monitor student progress through observations and assessments, including standardized testing when applicable, to inform instructional strategies.
- Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and welfare.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that respects each child’s unique background and developmental stage.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development across multiple domains such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and families.
- DCF 45 hours
- Valid Drivers License
