First Home Mortgage is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented entry-level Mortgage Loan Processor to join our dynamic and growing corporate team at our Middle River, MD corporate headquarters. This is a full-time, in-office position and an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate interested in launching a career in the mortgage or financial services industry.
Starting Salary
- $35,000 – $42,000 annually, based on education and qualifications
Position Responsibilities
- Review loan applications and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with borrowers to request additional documentation as needed.
- Ensure company minimum standards are met within required timelines, including documentation, fees, and application accuracy.
- Order and review appraisals and support timely delivery of required disclosures and documents.
- Analyze borrower income and financial documents and perform income calculations in accordance with loan guidelines.
- Update loan files in Encompass and submit loans to the automated underwriting system (AUS).
- Track outstanding conditions and documentation to help move loans efficiently through the approval process.
- Maintain organized, compliant loan files in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or recent college graduate preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Willingness to learn mortgage systems, processes, and regulations (training provided).
