Job Summary
The Post Closing Analyst is responsible for handling post-closing mortgage loan document verification, analysis of investor suspense conditions, validating system data entry as compared to mortgage loan documents, and conducting follow-up document tracking with other departments and Title Companies to ensure a timely funding of the loan.
General Responsibilities
- Manage a post-closing pipeline with multiple investors
- Review loans that have been suspended by investors, clearing conditions, and ensuring efficient loan sale
- Run, review and analyze DU, LPA and other AUS results to determine loan eligibility and documentation needs
- Communicate with investors and agencies regarding suspense items, timelines, and problem resolution
- Ensure timely resolution within 30 days of consummation for outstanding closing defects
- Work with Loan Officers, Processors, Underwriters, settlement agents etc., as needed
- Comply with documentation needs meeting specific investor requirements
- Use excellent communication skills to interact, support, articulate interpretation of a credit decision or suspense condition to staff and third parties
- Remain current on and adhere to all regulatory required training
- All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
- Basic knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA and bond program guidelines and requirements
- Basic knowledge of mortgage banking, underwriting, and closing policies and procedures
- Knowledge of basic mortgage forms and documents
- Experience with Encompass LOX is a plus
- Experience with FHA and VA insuring a plus
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of paperless file environments and image software repository
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills essential
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to efficiently and consistently produce accurate work
- Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment with heavy volume of transactions, as well as able to meet and handle deadlines
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proven aptitude to work in both a team and individual environment
- Proficiency with computer systems including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Internet Browsers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
