What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Banker - Part Time (20-31 hours per week -Harper Branch (Shep, KY) position at First Harrison Bank?
Key duties include but are not limited to:
Ø Build value-added relationships with customers by proactively offering a full range of retail banking services both through internal and outbound measures.
Ø Deliver personalized service with the type of genuine care and concern extended to friends and family.
Ø Through conversation, identify customer's needs and provide information (rates, terms, features, benefits, restrictions, fees, disclosures) to assist customers in making decisions which suit their financial situation.
Ø Be a knowledgeable banker that identifies referral opportunities to ensure full relationships and add value for customers.
Ø Exhibit a can-do attitude no matter how large, small, complex, or technical the request may be.
Ø Complete and prepare all necessary product and service documentation by entry into document platform ensuring that customer needs are promptly and accurately satisfied and all credit quality, security and legal requirements are met.
Ø Excel at accurately completing a wide range of financial transactions and tasks including but not limited to basic teller transactions and counting currency to initiating wire transfers, handling debit card requests and maintaining vault funds.
Ø Take ownership in empathetically addressing customer concerns through first person resolution by researching and resolving the problem. Serve as a liaison between the customer and the appropriate bank area.
Ø Perform administrative and loan duties as necessary to support the First Harrison easy-banking philosophy which may include accepting, approving and processing loan applications, as appropriate, as well as managing IRA-related requests.
Ø Responsible for adherence to bank’s operational compliance and security policies and applicable state and federal laws.
Ø Is committed to on-going professional development and actively participates and advocates the bank’s training and development programs and commitment to learning.
Ø Participate from time-to-time with community organizations and community projects.
Ø Perform other tasks requested by manager as they relate to the bank and its functions including special projects.
Ø High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ø 6-12 months experience in a sales and service environment
Ø Presents a professional image when interacting with customers, interdepartmental and external representatives.
Ø Requires a general knowledge of bank operations, policies and procedures and various departmental policies.
Ø Strong written and verbal skills.
Ø Ability to use various office equipment, including adding machine, typewriter, computer, basic e-mail, internet, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Ø Strong sales and service skills; demonstrated ability to positively persuade customers and to identify and satisfy their needs.
Ø Basic math skills
Ø Understand bank policies and procedures
Ø Have the ability to effectively handle all routine and complex transactions at the branch
Ø Willingness to travel to and work in various First Harrison branches, as needed.
