About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on U.S. Financial Controller to take full ownership of the accounting and financial operations of our U.S. Entity. This is a critical leadership role for someone who has previously been the end-to-end finance/accounting owner of a U.S. entity and understands how to build structure while operating in a lean environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation from a well-established company (e.g., Big 4 or large multinational), and has subsequently taken on a broader, full-scope leadership role in a smaller or high-growth company where they owned the entire accounting function.
This role reports to senior leadership and partners closely with global finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Full Ownership of U.S. Finance & Accounting
- Lead and own all accounting operations for the U.S. entity, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end/year-end close.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Take full responsibility for balance sheet integrity and reconciliations.
- Serve as the accountable finance lead for the U.S. business.
Internal Controls & Audit
- Design, implement, and continuously improve internal control processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory and statutory requirements.
Process Building & Financial Infrastructure
- Establish scalable accounting processes and policies from the ground up.
- Improve systems, reporting automation, and financial visibility.
- Evaluate and optimize financial systems to support business growth.
Cross-Border Coordination
- Partner with global finance teams on consolidation and intercompany transactions.
- Coordinate cross-border accounting matters between U.S., China, and Singapore entities.
- Support transfer pricing and tax compliance with external advisors.
Treasury & Business Partnership
- Oversee U.S. cash management and forecasting.
- Support strategic initiatives, entity structuring, and financial analysis.
- Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience.
- CPA is required.
- Strong U.S. GAAP expertise
- Prior experience as a full-scope accounting/finance lead (e.g., Controller, Accounting Manager with full ownership, or similar).
- Experience independently managing month-end close and financial reporting.
- Experience in multi-entity and cross-border environments.
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a lean team.
Highly Preferred Background
- Career path that includes:
- Early training at a Big 4 or large multinational company.
- Followed by a leadership role in a smaller or high-growth company with full accounting ownership.
- Experience building finance processes from early-stage or scaling environments.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency (strongly preferred).
- Experience working with China-based teams

Salary : $160,000 - $220,000
