Summary: The Sr. Managing Director is a strategic business partner responsible for driving growth by selling First Foundation Wealth Management's investment services to a high-net-worth clientele through networking and direct prospecting. operational excellence, and organizational performance across a diverse portfolio of wealth management and investment initiatives. This role provides oversight of key business lines, ensures delivery of superior client experience, and strengthens FFAs competitive position through innovative market strategies. The Sr. Managing Director will actively participate in the investment process through committee involvement and contribute to expanding non-traditional referral channels to support sustained revenue growth. Duties and Responsibilities:Employee is responsible for adherence to all compliance programs and the completion of all required and assigned training by established due datesUnderstands and complies with the requirements of all laws and regulations applicable to the positionStrategic Leadership & Business GrowthDevelop and execute long-term strategic plans aligned with the organization’s growth objectives.Identify emerging opportunities across markets, products, and client segments to increase revenue and expand market share.Drive initiatives to develop and expand non-traditional referral channels, strengthening relationships beyond traditional banking and wealth management networks.Generate your own leads and manage the sales process and client portfolio while achieving revenue goalsResearch the financial portfolio of prospects to develop an informed perspective in determining how to provide the best services, and add products to preserve and grow the client’s wealthInvestment Committee ParticipationServe as a contributing member of the firm’s Investment Committee.Evaluate portfolio strategies, market conditions, asset allocations, and risk frameworks.Provide thought leadership and strategic insights to support investment decision-making.Collaborate with senior leaders to align investment objectives with overall business goals.Operational Excellence & Risk ManagementOversee operational performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.Promote disciplined risk management practices across investments and advisory activities.Implement process improvements and efficiency strategies across the wealth advisory business.Client & Partner Relationship ManagementMaintain and expand high-value client relationships, delivering executive-level consultation and engagement.Build strategic partnerships with external stakeholders, industry leaders, and centers of influence.Champion efforts to enhance client satisfaction, retention, and overall experience.Identify and build client relationships within the high-net-worth marketRepresent personal financial planning, investment management, and financial consulting; work with bankers to cross-sell relationship opportunities to improve existing clientsProvide charitable, business, and wealth planning advice to clients of the companyIntroduce prospects and clients to the platform of services offered by the companyTeam Leadership & Talent DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop wealth advisor teams in accomplishing established individual and departmental goalsFoster a culture of accountability, high performance, and collaboration.Supports workforce planning and development initiatives.Serve as point of contact for assigned team members regarding questions and guidance Partner with management in training/cross-training of department employees as directedPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities: The position may supervise assigned team members, including hiring, developing, coaching, and motivating direct reports. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree required.15 years of progressive leadership experience in banking, investment management, or wealth management, and/or demonstrated sales record as a top producer in the Wealth Management industry.Proven track record in building and managing high-performing teams.Strong understanding of investment strategies, portfolio construction, and committee governance.
