Church Business Manager – First Lutheran Church, Glencoe, MN
Full-Time with consideration of reducing schedule to 32 hours per week dependent on skill, experience level. Serving as primary administrator for the business operations of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and School.
Key Responsibilities include: Managing church and school financial operations, maintaining accurate records, preparing payroll to submit to accounting firm, maintaining personnel files, communicating with insurance plans, supporting boards and committees with agendas, reports, budgets, and communication, and assisting with required reporting, audits, and updates to governing documents.
Required Qualifications: minimum 2 years accounting or bookkeeping related experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience; strong organizational and time management skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks (or other accounting software); ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications: degree or coursework in accounting, business, or related field; experience in nonprofit or church financial management; knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; First Lutheran Church membership.
