Assistant Director - Early Childhood Education

First Discovery Children's Academy is looking for an exceptional Assistant Director to help lead our growing team in Kennesaw, GA.

This is more than an administrative role. We're looking for a leader who enjoys coaching teachers, building relationships with families, ensuring operational excellence, and stepping into classrooms when needed. What You'll Do

As Assistant Director, you will:

• Support the daily operations of the center alongside the Director.
• Coach, mentor, and develop teaching staff.
• Help maintain compliance with Bright from the Start licensing regulations.
• Build strong relationships with families through excellent communication and customer service.
• Assist with enrollment, tours, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities.
• Step into classrooms when needed to support teachers and maintain ratio.
• Help ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.
• Support Quality Rated initiatives and continuous program improvement.
• Oversee and maintain compliance with CACFP requirements, meal documentation, and food program standards.

Required Qualifications

To be considered, applicants should have:

• Management or leadership experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education and child development.
• Experience working in a licensed childcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) requirements and compliance.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Flexibility to work any shift between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM as needed.
• A commitment to providing outstanding customer service to families and supporting teachers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of Georgia's 40 Hour Director Training is highly preferred.
• Experience in a Georgia Quality Rated program.
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
• CDA, TCC, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Knowledge of Bright from the Start regulations and licensing requirements.
