Basic Duties of a Loan Originator are listed below. For complete description of the position, the hiring manager will provide during the interview process.

  • Completes residential mortgage loan applications.
  • Arranges residential mortgage loan credit transactions to meet clients' needs.
  • Assists consumers in identifying proper residential mortgage loan products.
  • Advertises and communicates to the general public loan origination services.
  • Completes all internal required continuing education courses assigned within in the time they are due.
  • Exercise proficiency with all technology requirements including, but not limited to: Encompass, Blue Sage, Compensafe and Paychex.
  • Represent FCM, both ethically and professionally, with a positive attitude and demeanor.
  • Provide superior customer service, while exemplifying the FCM culture in the community.
  • Uphold all internal and regulatory compliance guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Attend all required staff meetings.
  • Report hours of work to management when due.
  • Complete mandatory new employee orientation.
  • Maintain requirements of the Dodd Frank / NMLS registration process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Loan Originator Assistant Duties:

  • Accepts assignment with an individual, or team, of Loan Originators.
  • May completes residential mortgage loan applications within assignment.
  • Assists consumers in identifying proper residential mortgage loan products.
  • Advertises and communicates to the general public the loan origination services.
  • Complete all internal required continuing education courses assigned in the time they are due.
  • Exercise proficiency with all technology requirements including, but not limited to: Encompass, Compensafe, FCM Knowledge Center, AUS systems, BAI Learning.
  • Represent FCM, both ethically and professionally, with a positive attitude and demeanor. Provide superior customer service, while exemplifying FCM as the Lender of Choice in community.
  • Uphold all internal and regulatory compliance guidelines, policies, and procedures, as hosted in the FCM Knowledge Center.
  • Attend all required staff meetings.
  • Report hours of work to management when due.
  • Complete mandatory new employee orientation.
  • Maintain requirements of the NMLS registration process.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned and dictated by workload and manager.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business; or related field preferred, high school diploma or GED 1-3 years of related experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
