Role and Responsibilities

Initial 120-day expectations/minimum benchmarks for success:

  • 30 days: 3 new approvals
  • 60 days: 7 new approvals $750k in locks
  • 90 days: 10 approvals and $1.5mm in locks
  • 120 days: 13 approvals and $2.5mm in locks

Account Executive Minimum Production Requirements:

  • After 6 months of employment AE will be required to be closing a minimum of 4 units or

$1,000,000 per month consistently (whichever is greater)

  • After 12 months of employment AE will be required to be closing a minimum of 8 units or

$2,000,000 per month consistently (whichever is greater)

  • If minimum production standards are not being met, the employee will be given a performance improvement plan at the end of the term above with 30 days to get to the required production levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Call on new prospective accounts to generate loan volume.
  • Call on existing accounts to increase loan volume.
  • Train new and existing accounts on submission process, clearing conditions and new loan programs.
  • Answer emails and phone calls from existing and new accounts.
  • Maintain minimum standards of loan volume in relation to territory, tenure and market conditions.
  • Resolve issues with loan files in conjunction with Account Managers, PC’s, Underwriting and Closing.
  • Complete annual recertification of all business partners in person.
  • Obtain information about competition concerning rates, programs and turntimes.
  • Attend training seminars, tradeshows as needed.
  • Be proficient with all industry automated underwriting programs (DO, LP, etc.).
  • Master Encompass FCM’s loan origination and decision software.
  • Work ethically and professionally, while representing the company with a positive attitude and demeanor.
  • Uphold all internal and external compliance guidelines.
  • Work cooperatively with vendors, employees, and subordinates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma/GED and bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 3-5 years’ experience in mortgage lending required.

Skills:

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively articulate information and respond to questions from customers, vendors, the general public and mortgage related departments. Must be able to look past initials issue and problem solve to find the best outcome for all.

SYSTEM/EQUIPMENT SKILLS

Ability to use Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook at a beginner level. Able to send and receive emails. Able to use a calculator to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages. Able to learn FCM’s internal database: Encompass.

ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS

Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, striving for 100% accuracy on every file. Must keep records neat and organized to ensure clear representation of work. This position requires a sense of urgency to restrictive time frames and deadlines.
