POSITION TITLE: Business Development Officer
In person with a full-time or part-time option
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President of Business Services, this role is responsible for driving business growth by developing and maintaining relationships with prospective and existing business members. The Business Development Officer identifies lending opportunities, supports loan origination, and delivers appropriate financial solutions to meet member needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Develop and manage relationships with business members to support credit union growth.
· Generate new business lending opportunities through outreach, networking and referrals
· Recommend appropriate products and solutions.
· Support department with loan structuring, underwriting and closings
· Maintain and support new and retained relationships for ongoing opportunities.
· Outside business development events
· Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Required Knowledge and Skills:
· Strong Communication, intrapersonal, professional and relationship-building skills
· Experience in sales, business development
· Self-motivated to work independently and meet goals
Preferred but not required skills:
· Experience in financial services
· General understanding of business financial information
