Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Processor to join our dynamic team. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth loan approvals, deliver exceptional customer service, and uphold the highest standards of financial compliance within the mortgage lending process.
Duties
· Deliver consistent, high quality service to internal and external customers and maintain strict confidentiality in all bank matters.
· Verify, compile and type mortgage loan application information for mortgage loans. Review mortgage loan application file to ensure data is complete and meets established standards including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities and length of employment.
· Work with applicant to obtain required document such as income tax return, banking information, purchase agreement, property description, etc.
· Contact employer to verify information.
· Obtain property title insurance, survey if necessary from specified company.
· Communicate discrepancies to loan officer/manager.
· Submit mortgage loan application file for underwriting approval.
· Prepare written communication and/or communicate verbally to applicant regarding disposition of mortgage loan application.
· Record and track mortgage loan application information such a number of applications, status, and disposition.
· Promptly and successfully complete all compliance training as determined by the compliance department.
· Attend department and company meetings/training which may be outside of regularly scheduled work hours.
· Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Mortgage experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential data in an ethical and professional manner
Able to prioritize initiatives and duties
Ability to meet deadlines and follow directions in a timely, accurate and confidential matter
Should be customer service driven
