Role Description
The Security Officer is a full-time, on-site position located in Montgomery, AL. Responsibilities include patrolling assigned premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and access points, and permitting entry as instructed. The Security Officer will respond to emergencies, enforce property policies, and maintain a safe environment for employees, visitors, and clients. Timely reporting of security incidents and maintaining detailed records are also key aspects of the role. Officers will work collaboratively with team members to ensure the highest level of protection is provided.
Qualifications
- Experience in conducting property patrols, monitoring surveillance, and implementing access control measures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and thorough incident reports
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Ability to quickly and calmly respond to emergencies and enforce property safety policies
- Customer service-oriented, with a professional demeanor and the ability to manage tense situations effectively
- Physical fitness to perform duties such as standing, walking, and responding to emergencies for extended periods
- Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in security or law enforcement is preferred
- Willingness to undergo background checks, drug screenings, and any necessary certifications or licensing required by local authorities
