Clerk

First Coast Security Solutions provides security services nationwide. We are seeking a Clerk position for the Library of Congress located in Washington, D.C. Clerks must be willing to work on weekends and holidays. This role provides support to federally owned and leased facilities by handling property.

Pay Transparency

Base Rate: $20.12/hour $5.35 Health & Welfare (H&W).

Responsibilities

• Receive and check in coats, bags, and personal items.
• Return items to visitors.
• Monitor coat check area to ensure security of stored belongings.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of area
• Provide courteous, professional interactions
• Communicate clearly, professionally, and openly with visitors, employees, and team members.
• Assist with questions.
• Report lost items or issues to supervisors.
• Other related duties may be assigned based on site needs.

Working Conditions

• Position requires standing and walking for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move property up to 25lbs.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must possess a valid Social Security Card.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to write reports handwritten.
• Ability to accept and respond to verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to obtain CPR, First Aid/AED certification.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain suitability as mandated by LOC
• Must maintain all required licenses, permits, and certifications.

Experience

• Prior customer service experience.
• Experience working in a public facing role preferred.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED
