Job Overview
First Class Plumbing is seeking a Purchasing Agent / Warehouse Supervisor to work closely with our distributors/vendors and field technicians to ensure that our customers receive quality, efficient service in the DMV area.
Responsibilities
- Maintain relationship with vendors/distributors for pricing and ordering of equipment, parts, materials and tools.
- Ensure technicians/plumbers have all necessary tools, parts, materials and supplies in a timely manner.
- Coordinate deliveries to office headquarters and job-sites.
- Communicate with Service Manager and Dispatcher regarding timing of parts for customers.
- Track inventory of parts and materials using barcodes and field service management software.
- Perform audits of equipment and tools.
- Utilize our software system to create purchase orders and input data.
- Monitor all vehicles/trucks to ensure they meet proper inspections and are serviced regularly (maintenance, registrations, emissions, etc.)
- Schedule and send vehicles in for service or repair.
- Return nonstock or surplus material to vendors for credit.
- Maintain a stocked, organized and clean warehouse.
- Work closely with management and staff to efficiently meet daily requirements.
- Stock new trucks with pre-determined materials.
- Accept deliveries.
- Ensure dumpster areas are clean and coordinate removal of waste and scrap metal.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Organization skills and process driven
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of inventory management preferred
- Use of ServiceTitan and/or other FSM software preferred.
- Strong computer skills
- Great customer service skills, positive attitude, and team-oriented
- Plumbing knowledge preferred
- Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3:30pm
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and documentation accuracy. This role is integral to maintaining efficient warehouse operations while ensuring safety compliance and high-quality service delivery within the plumbing supply industry.
Pay: $52,951.52 - $63,769.57 per year
