Overview
First State Tree Service is seeking a Certified Arborist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced, motivated individual who is passionate about tree care and enjoys working directly with clients to provide expert recommendations and solutions.
The position combines field consulting and sales, including tree removals, pruning, and plant health care services. We are looking for someone who brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with residential and commercial clients to evaluate tree health, structure, and safety concerns
- Provide professional recommendations for tree removal, pruning, and plant health care treatments
- Prepare and present detailed proposals and estimates
- Generate new business through referrals, networking, and relationship building
- Diagnose tree and plant health issues and recommend appropriate treatment plans
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Maintain strong client relationships and deliver a high level of customer service
Requirements
- ISA Certified Arborist (not required but strongly encouraged)
- Proven experience in tree care, including pruning, removals, and plant health care
- Strong knowledge of tree biology, pests, and disease management
- Sales experience or the ability to confidently sell services and close work
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven
- Valid driver’s license
