What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at First-Class Behavioral & Counseling Services PLLC?
We are a fast-paced Behavioral Health private practice seeking a professional, reliable, and detail-oriented Receptionist. As the first point of contact for patients, you will ensure a smooth front-office experience while supporting providers and the Practice Manager.
What You’ll Do
· Greet patients, check in/out, and confirm updated information.
· Answer phones; schedule and reschedule appointments.
· Handle patient intake paperwork, faxes, and mail.
· Collect and process copays and balances.
· Assist providers with letters, records, and results.
· Support the Practice Manager with daily administrative tasks.
· Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times.
What We’re Looking For
· Strong communication skills – written and spoken English fluency required.
· Empathetic, professional demeanor; able to de-escalate distressed patients.
· Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Zoom, Teams
· Familiar with EHR software (SimplePractice preferred).
· Organized, accurate data entry skills
· Able to manage multiple tasks in a busy office.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare, medical office, or behavioral health setting strongly preferred.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience)
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
