Life Vest Technician 

We’re seeking a Life Vest Technician to support the inspection, testing, repacking, and documentation of aviation life vests in accordance with FAA regulations and Component Maintenance Manuals (C.M.M.). This is a temporary position with the opportunity to transition to full‑time employment after an initial period.

Role Overview

The Life Vest Technician is responsible for completing all tasks associated with assigned work records, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance. This includes inspecting and testing life vests, repacking them to specification, and maintaining organized, well‑identified work areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and check all incoming life vests

• Perform required tests following the C.M.M.

• Repack life vests in compliance with all procedures

• Complete documentation accurately and prepare units for inspection

• Maintain clean, organized work areas with proper unit identification

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• Experience in maintenance, repair, or technical work (aviation experience preferred)

• Ability to follow FAA regulations and C.M.M. procedures

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficient computer skills for documentation and recordkeeping

• Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese preferred

• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment

• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks

• Clear communication with team members and supervisors

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
