What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Banker/Senior Branch Service Rep position at First City Credit Union?
The Senior Branch Service Representative will assume, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Receives and verifies sufficient cash from supervisor or designee, to handle daily cash disbursements. Balances cash receipts and prepares daily work summary envelopes.
- Opens various credit union accounts, including IRAs, trusts, term certificates, shares and share draft accounts.
- Interviews loan applicants, counsels members regarding consumer loan options, prepares documents and loan records, and makes sound recommendations to loan officers.
- Discloses and funds approved loans. In the event a loan is denied, explains reason for loan decision.
- Assists with the maintenance, control, and security of vault cash, including ordering of cash and verifying shipments upon arrival.
- Assists to maintain appropriate control over Instant Issue ATM cards, checking account starter kits, cashier's checks, money orders, etc., while maintaining appropriate supply levels.
- Assists to train staff and communicates any changes to procedures or promotional information in a timely manner
- Assists in scheduling staff to ensure proper coverage, while satisfying all applicable wage and hour laws.
The successful candidate will possess the following education, knowledge and skillsets:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum four years' experience as a teller, loan processor, new accounts representative, or telephone representative in a financial institution
- Basic math and 10-key skills
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Personal computer proficiency in programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel
