Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills to stimulate early childhood development.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and support individual learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all children.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor each child's developmental milestones and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, attendance, behavioral observations, and developmental progress.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, early intervention strategies, and childhood education best practices.
- Experience managing classrooms for toddlers through preschool-aged children with effective behavior management techniques.
- Knowledge of special education needs and experience supporting children with diverse learning requirements.
- Familiarity with child welfare policies, first aid and CPR certification, and mandated reporting laws is required.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and community partners to support child welfare and development goals.
- Classroom experience involving classroom management, lesson planning, physical education activities, and childcare routines is highly valued.
