Childcare/Nursery Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare/Nursery Worker to enhance our congregation's Sunday experience and support families in their children's faith formation. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children aged 0-4 years in our church nursery.

Compensation

The Nursery Worker will be paid a flat rate of $50 for each Sunday worked. Hours are from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. The Nursery Worker will coordinate with parents to determine which Sundays childcare is needed. However, the Nursery Worker will be paid even if no nursery age children are at church. The Nursery Worker will be paid once a month.

Responsibilities

• Arrive at 9:30 am to welcome arrivals.
• Ask the parent/guardian for a mobile number. Inform them that you will text them during service if there is an emergency.
• Return children only to the person who brought them to the nursery unless previous arrangements were made at drop-off.
• If no children were brought to the nursery, the Nursery Worker may leave once the worship service concludes. If children are in the nursery, the Nursery Worker may leave after all the children in the nursery have been picked up and all cleaning duties have been performed (see below). Parents will be instructed to pick up their children by 12:00 pm.
• Prior to leaving, the Nursery Worker will put away toys, any other items used and clean up food/drink spills. If dirty diapers are in the garbage, take the garbage out to the dumpster.
• If you are unable to work on a specific Sunday, please contact the church as soon as possible so that we can find a volunteer to cover.

Requests for supplies will be made with a Purchase Request Form from the office and approved by the Education Chair or Church Treasurer before purchased.

Applicants must agree to a background check before they can begin work.

Pay: $50.00 per day
