What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Cook for a Daycare position at First Christian Church Daycare?
The cook is responsible for preparing and cooking all of the meals that will be served to the children in our care. Will also be tasked with cleaning up after these meals, washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. Daycare cooks must have an understanding of nutrition and food safety standards. They need to know how to prepare healthy, nutritious meals that meet the needs of young children while also ensuring that these meals are properly stored and handled to prevent contamination or illness. The cook will be responsible for ordering and maintaining food supplies, records and documents. Must have a clear background check. Must have a gentle caring manner, needs to patient, understanding and kindhearted individual. Will need to be able to lift heavy and large pans. will need to be able to go up and down stairs easily. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
