First Choice Veterinary Care is a small one doctor veterinary office in Lunenburg, MA.
We are looking for a part time veterinary assistant to join our team!
Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Duties:
- Assist veterinarian and technicians in rooms by offering proper animal restraint
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar
- Check-in patients and update their records in the computer system
- Collect and process payments for services rendered
- Assist with filing, organizing medical records, and maintaining a clean reception area
- Coordinate with other veterinary technicians and doctors to ensure smooth patient flow
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a veterinary technician/assistant required
- Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with computer systems and ability to learn new software quickly
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
