First Choice Packaging (FCP) is a first-tier custom packaging solutions manufacturer that provides complete custom thermoform packaging, including clamshell packaging, blister packaging, Virtuweld™ packaging and turnkey contract packaging services that cost-effectively get packages from design to ship all under one roof. In business for over 30 years, FCP is currently looking to fill an open Logistic Clerk/Material Handler position to join our Shipping and Receiving Department. This position will be a hybrid position with the responsibility of both roles. This position is a full-time position Monday thru Friday, 7am-3pm with the opportunity for some overtime. Pay will be determined based on experience.
Duties of this position include:
· Schedule inbound and outbound appointments and carriers.
· Assign inbound and outbound carriers to a dock.
· Audit inbound receipts against packing list. Report any discrepancies to Traffic Manager.
· Receive incoming shipments into inventory tracking system. Identify received materials, product, supplies and other components used in production processes with pallet tags.
· Verify all finished goods and other items being shipped. Verify carrier is picking up the correct product.
· Prepare all paperwork including BOL’s, Packing Lists, Labels, and other special instructions specific to the shipment.
· Prepare all UPS and Fed Ex courier shipments.
· Loading and unloading trucks in a timely manner,
· Verifying information on all logistics related paperwork
· Following inventory control procedures when entering and removing stock from the warehouse,
· Keeping shipping and receiving area neat and organized at all times, assists production material handler when needed,
· Keeping all documentation accurate, preparing material for shipping or storage, operating all material handling equipment safely at all times
· Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
