We are a small, growing food manufacturing operation producing a shelf-stable, hot-filled botanical concentrate in a licensed commercial commissary kitchen in Litchfield County, CT.
We are seeking a Certified Food Protection Manager (ServSafe-certified) to serve as Person-In-Charge (PIC) during scheduled production days.
This is a compliance-focused role, not a kitchen management or cooking position.
Responsibilities
- Act as Person-In-Charge during scheduled production shifts
- Ensure food safety compliance (sanitation, hygiene, SOP adherence)
- Oversee pH testing, batch logs, and production records
- Be available during inspections if required
- Maintain calm, professional presence in a regulated environment
Requirements
- Current ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification (required)
- Experience working in commercial kitchens or commissaries
- Familiarity with food safety logs and inspections
- Reliability and attention to detail
Experience with bottling, value-added foods, or shelf-stable products is a plus.
Schedule
- 1–2 production days per week initially
- Flexible, pre-scheduled blocks (4–8 hours per shift)
