Role Description The Family Physician will provide comprehensive primary and preventive care to patients of all ages in an outpatient community health setting in Albuquerque, NM. This full-time or part-time, on-site role includes conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, performing routine health screenings, and providing acute care services as needed. The Family Physician will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver integrated medical and behavioral health services, coordinate referrals to specialty care, and participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record, contributing to patient education and wellness programs, and supporting FCCH’s mission to deliver accessible, culturally responsive care to underserved communities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Primary Care and Family Medicine in outpatient settings.
- Strong clinical skills in Medicine and Urgent Care, including diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Experience or strong interest in Community Health and working with underserved populations.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution; completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain); board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
- Current DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification as required.
- Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment and provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills; proficiency with electronic health records.
- Eligibility for or participation in loan repayment programs (e.g., National Health Service Corps) is a plus.
