Position Overview:
We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant, Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, enjoys a calmer work environment, and is dedicated to patient care and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and procedures
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment
- Perform basic laboratory tasks and diagnostics (depending on experience/credentials)
- Administer medications and vaccines (as permitted by credentials)
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and follow-ups
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Support overall clinic cleanliness and organization
Qualifications:
- Veterinary Assistant experience or current CVT, LVT, or RVT certification/license
- Strong animal handling skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
