Position Overview
We're looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our team in a part-time role that blends floral design, garden center support, and hands-on customer service. This position is ideal for someone who loves plants, enjoys working with customers, and takes pride in a well-kept, welcoming shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, answer plant and product questions, process sales, and help create a warm, knowledgeable shopping experience.
- Floral Design: Assist with designing and arranging fresh floral arrangements for walk-in sales, phone orders, and special events (event florals, sympathy, everyday arrangements).
- Delivery: Prepare and deliver floral orders to local customers in a timely, professional manner, ensuring arrangements arrive in excellent condition.
- Garden Center Attendant: Water, maintain, and merchandise plant inventory; help customers select trees, shrubs, and perennials suited to their needs; assist with loading plants and garden supplies.
- Floral Cooler Maintenance: Regularly clean and organize the floral cooler, rotate stock, and monitor flowers for freshness and quality.
Requirements
- Prior floral design experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (for delivery duties)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work some weekends/holidays as needed
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
