Breakfast Hostess

As a Breakfast Hostess at SpringHill Suites by Marriott, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable breakfast experience for our guests. You will ensure the breakfast area is clean, well-stocked, and set up to meet high standards, while providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly as they enter the breakfast area. Provide assistance with seating and address any questions or special requests they may have.
• Food Service: Set up and replenish the breakfast buffet, ensuring all items are fresh, visually appealing, and properly stocked. Maintain high standards of food presentation and hygiene.
• Cleanliness: Ensure the breakfast area is clean and organized throughout service. Clean tables, chairs, and food stations regularly, and handle any spills or messes promptly.
• Safety and Hygiene: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Monitor food temperature and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Inventory Management: Keep track of breakfast supplies and inform the appropriate staff when items need replenishing or restocking.
• Guest Experience: Address any issues or complaints from guests in a professional and timely manner. Strive to create a positive and memorable experience for all guests.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel staff, including the kitchen and housekeeping teams, to ensure a smooth breakfast service and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Administrative Tasks: Assist with setting up and breaking down the breakfast service, including washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen area as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Attributes: Friendly, approachable demeanor with a strong commitment to providing exceptional guest service. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to [25] pounds as needed.
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform tasks involving repetitive motions.
