Historically First Care Medical Clinic has focused on physical health, but we expanded services to include behavioral health given the significant needs observed within our patient population and the broader community. Position highlights
First Care Medical Clinic is seeking a Licensed Psychiatrist to join our behavioral health team, which currently includes Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (LCMHCs). This is a full-time role based in Monroe, NC. This role involves addressing mental and behavioral health concerns, ensuring patients receive comprehensive and holistic care.
This is a full-time, in-person role that involves:
- Direct patient care
- Management of psychiatric care for adults and children
- Contributions to management of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use disorders
- Supervision of behavioral health care managers (BHCMs)
- Psychiatric consults to the behavioral health care managers
- Patient assessments
- Development of treatment plans
- Provision of therapeutic interventions
- Coordination with other healthcare providers.
