SUMMARY
Performs a variety of warehouse duties including sorting/storing, picking, forklift operation, inventory control, receiving and shipping to ensure accurate and safe shipment of goods to and from the customer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unpacks, repacks, places items, etc.
- Uses tools and visual aids to confirm quantities of freight being received and shipped
- Operates a forklift and/or crane for loading and unloading
- Operates other machines for production or processing.
- Inspects product before shipping.
- Cleans work area according to 5S standards
- Follows approved procedures and precautions.
- Assists in providing safe environment for all employees
- Participates in team meetings and training
- Other duties may be assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to periods of prolonged high levels of noise. The employee may also be exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee may also be required to wear protective clothing, gloves, hard hat, respirator, as specified in the various processes and/or instructions. The employee will also be required to wear safety shoes and safety glasses.
Team Members should understand they may not do the same job daily while on assignment.we do a lot of cross-training and builds our Team Members up to perform multiple duties within.
we have multiple functions, and Team Members will be assigned to areas daily depending on workload. Each of these areas is a fast-paced work environment. These functions include Storing, Picking, sit-down and stand-up forklift operators, and repacking.
Storing and picking requires moving boxes up to 35 pounds repeatedly as well as walking and standing for the entire shift. The repack requires standing all day and will be in one place for periods. Other job responsibilities include lifting up to 30 pounds repeatedly and scanning parts. All areas require Team Members to perform 5S duties daily.
