Quality Manager

Job Title: Quality Manager / Supplier ODA Focal

Location: Plainfield, IN

First Call Direct Hire is recruiting a Quality Manager / Supplier ODA Focal to lead and oversee the overall Quality function at our client’s site. The role focuses on managing the Quality team, ensuring compliance with the Quality Management System, and maintaining alignment with company and regulatory quality standards.

This position oversees ODA-related activities. While previous ODA experience is a plus, candidates with strong Quality leadership experience in aerospace or other regulated industries are encouraged to apply.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality department team across multiple functions.
• Oversee all aspects of Quality Management, including ISO/AS/TS compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and customer satisfaction strategies.
• Establish and monitor quality objectives with department managers.
• Ensure consistent application of quality processes, including audits, corrective actions, and process improvements.
• Provide oversight of ODA-related activities, coordinating with regulatory stakeholders without performing the tasks directly.
• Partner with leadership to evaluate team competencies, guide quality outputs, and foster a strong quality culture.
• Support internal and external audits, trend analysis, and quality documentation.
• Participate in corporate initiatives related to health, safety, quality, ISO, 6S, Lean, and continuous improvement.
• Utilize SAP or other systems to support quality oversight and reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 3 years in Quality Assurance/Control leadership.
• Experience leading a Quality department in aerospace or a related regulated industry.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations, ODA programs, or aerospace regulatory compliance (oversight experience preferred).
• Experience with TQM, ISO/QS 9000, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

• ASQ or ISO Lead Assessor Certification
• 5 years in Quality Assurance/Control
• Experience as an FAA ODA Unit Member or Supplier ODA Focal (preferred but not required)
• Training in strategic planning and team motivation
