FIRST BORN® PROGRAM HOME VISITOR

The First Born® Program of Los Alamos (FBPLA) is accepting applications for a full time Home Visitor position. Strong preference will be given to residents of Los Alamos, but applicants with in-depth knowledge of and experience in Los Alamos County will be considered. A Bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience in a related field such as Early Childhood, Social Work, Behavioral Health, Nursing, Education and/or related fields is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with bilingual skills particularly in Spanish or Mandarin. FBPLA provides extensive training, support, and ongoing professional development.
The Home Visitor provides culturally sensitive services to first time families (prenatal and postpartum) and all families with children up to age 5 within Los Alamos County. Visits take place in families’ homes, in the First Born office, in the community and virtually.
The Home Visitor educates and supports families through reflective listening and utilizes research-based First Born curriculum when working with families. The Home Visitor assists clients in linking with relevant community resources and completes developmental and other screens as required by program standards. Local travel is required, and all activities must be documented in electronic and paper files.
Work schedule is flexible. Some evening and weekend hours are required.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
