  • Identify financial variances, unusual transactions, trends, and discrepancies requiring attention.
  • Assist with preparation and administration of the church's annual operating budget.
  • Prepare financial records, schedules, and supporting documentation for audits and financial reviews.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, confidential, and audit-ready financial records.
  • Establish and follow financial policies and internal control procedures.
  • Recommend improvements to accounting procedures, workflows, documentation, and financial systems.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to church staff, ministry leaders, volunteers, auditors, and leadership as appropriate.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality involving employee, donor, payroll, financial, and church information.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Paycor, PayDay, or comparable payroll systems.
  • Experience processing payroll for both salaried and hourly employees.
  • Experience with nonprofit, church, or other mission-driven fund accounting.
