We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching young children and be able to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for them to learn and grow. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues in order to ensure the best possible learning experience for each student.
Work Hours:
- In person
- Part-time - approximately 30 hours per week
- Availability between 7:30a-5:30p
Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Teacher in providing proper supervision and care for children in accordance with the Bright from the Start Performance Standards.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Assist Lead Teacher with full implementation of daily lesson plans and curriculum.
- Participate in all staff meetings, center activities, and staff development.
- Maintain a well-organized, safe, clean, and attractive classroom environment conducive to the growth and development of children.
- Be prepared to lead class in the event the lead teacher is absent.
- Establish a positive relationship with each child's family and share information about the child's day in a positive way.
- Complete and file proper accident reports.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Report any suspected child abuse to supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working with young children preferred.
- Knowledge of Bright from the Start Rules and Regulations preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) required.
Physical Capabilities:
- Be able to lift 25-50 lbs.
- Be able to walk, squat/kneel, sit on floor, see, hear, speak with children to ensure children's health and safety.
