What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate/Family Pastor position at First Baptist Church of Clermont?
The Associate Pastor works alongside the Lead/Senior Pastor and must be an ordained minister. They lead adult, student and children ministries. They love people and have a passion for outreach and missions, both personally and at a ministry level within a multi-generational congregation. He will have a passion for the Word of God and a desire to proclaim the Word of God with conviction and confidence, always moving the church towards taking consistent spiritual steps. He lives out the Great Commission by sharing the gospel boldly.
Key Accountabilities to include but not limited to: Church Ministry Leadership; Family Outreach; Mentorship,Coaching and Counseling; Pastoral Care and Visitation.
Key Responsibilities to include but not limited to: Spiritual and Worship Leadership; Overall health and direction of the church; Leading the church; Discipleship and evangelism; Fellowship; Membership.
Requirements: Qualified to minister in the church; Graduate of an accredited Southern Baptist Seminary; Minimum of 2-5 years of successful associate pastor tenure; Maintains vital personal relationship with the Lord through daily Bible study and prayer; have a consistent spiritual and moral character and lifestyle; maintains proper priorities at home (and with family); Expected to take at least one day off every week and regular vacation times away to set an example before the people of Godly balanced family living; A period of personal sabbatical for growth and renewal shall be planned and presented every 5 years; Demonstrate a high level of competency and excellence in the study of the scriptures, church leadership, organization, and equipping the church to be disciples.

Experience: Experienced working with and providing pastoral care to families and students; Proven leader in organizing, communicating, and positively engaging with families and students; Ability to organize, motivate, and work through others; Warm and outgoing personality, approachable; Ability to work under the pressure of criticism and/or deadlines; Works independently without the need for constant supervision; Works as a team player and inter-dependently; Good listener; Well-developed organizational skills; A proven record as a facilitator/enabler; Must be self-starting, flexible, and innovative.
Skills and knowledge: Strong verbal and written communication skills; Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel/Word; Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills; Good collaboration, negotiation, and persuasion skills; Capable of solving basic project problems and issues; Good time and project management skills; Capable of working with leadership in a positive way.
