What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP/Managing Director position at FIRST BANKERS BANC SECURITIES INC?
The Fixed Income Salesperson must be an experienced sales leader who possesses in-depth knowledge of fixed income products and a broad understanding of portfolio management. The position is responsible for generating revenue by working an assigned database of leads and accounts and building account relationships by utilizing the appropriate resources of the firm. The qualified person must be able to identify and understand clients’ long term needs and have a proven track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales targets. A special focus is required on qualifying and developing large sales opportunities, follow up, opening new accounts, and increasing sales revenue of existing accounts.
Duties may include:
- Contact assigned database of sales leads and strengthen existing relationships while maximizing revenue. Leads are assigned at the discretion of management.
- Cultivate prospect relationships and develop sales pipeline by conducting appropriate market research on target prospects, initiating contact and conducting follow-up communications and qualified meetings.
- Exhibit a high level of self-motivation, drive and sales skill, demonstrating continuous progress toward accomplishing/exceeding annual sales goals.
- Introduce and present all of the firm’s services to accounts and prospects and refer qualified opportunities to other sales departments.
- Maintain a high level of organization and time management to follow up effectively on all sales related activity.
- Enter all pertinent information, accurately and consistently, into our database and adhere to all Database Management procedures.

- A minimum of one year of related institutional, fixed income sales, research or banking experience
- Must have or be able to quickly obtain Series 7 and 63 licenses
