Payroll & HR Generalist
Overview
First Bank is seeking a Payroll & HR Generalist to support payroll processing and core human resources operations. This role focuses on payroll administration, HR compliance, HRIS management, benefits administration, and employee relations while helping maintain efficient HR operations across the organization.
Responsibilities
● Process payroll through QuickBooks and support benefits administration
● Maintain accurate HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and employee records
● Manage benefits programs and payroll processing
● Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws and workers’ compensation procedures
● Support talent acquisition, including interviews and coordinating onboarding, employee orientation, and training programs
● Address employee relations matters, including workplace conflicts, performance management guidance, and employee evaluation processes
● Assist with HR projects, organization design, workforce management strategies, and succession planning
● Support HR sourcing efforts using social media platforms and maintain employer branding
Qualifications
● Proven experience in human resources management with knowledge of employment and labor law compliance
● Minimum 5 years payroll/HR experience
● Knowledge of benefits administration and payroll systems
● Strong communication, organization, and project management skills with attention to detail
● Administrative experience in data collection, data entry, interviewing techniques, and conflict resolution
