First Bank and Trust is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative in Staunton, VA. The Customer Service Representatives at First Bank and Trust are the first point of contact for new and existing customers. The Customer Service Representative assists with account openings, answering inquiries, and delivering excellent customer service. These individuals promote the Bank’s products and services and provide customer referrals for new products and services daily.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and assist customers with exceptional customer service.
- Open new accounts, process transactions, and complete account maintenance.
- Identify customer needs and recommend other banking products and services.
- Assist the Branch Operation Supervisor with daily report reviews.
- Educate customers on digital banking tools and services.
- Ensure compliance with all banking policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Promote bank products to include but not be limited to online banking, investment services and loans.
- Collaborate with team members to meet customer service and operational goals.
- Stay updated on banking regulations, product changes, and industry trends to provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers.
- Respond to customer inquiries in person, over the phone, or via email.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree - Accounting, Business or Finance – preferred.
- Two years of previous cash handling or customer service experience.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn banking software.
