TITLE: Custodian
CAMPUS: Central
STAFF LEVEL: Level 1
STATUS: Part Time, Temporary (2-3 days per week)
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Facilities Building Ops Field Manager
PAY RANGE: $16.66/hour
Summary/Objective
The custodian will clean and maintain facilities on the campus as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building.
- Follow specific cleaning protocol as instructed by supervisor.
- Assists in cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, kitchens, and school cafeteria.
- Maintains a neat and orderly janitors’ room (supply room, custodial room).
- Ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked and reports low supply as well as recommend products.
- Cleans glass and windows.
- Cleans staff offices and bathrooms.
- Assists in examining buildings and grounds for safety hazards and reports deficiencies to supervisor.
- Ensures building doors are secure and/or unlocked if shift requires.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Certification/Licensure
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Prolonged periods standing.
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Hours and Schedule
Part time: 1-19 hours per week, which includes:
- Schedule to be determined with supervisor prior to start.
- Attendance at the following staff meetings may be required for this role: Safety Committee Meetings, All Staff Trainings, recurring meetings as required, and additional meetings as requested.
