What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller/Floating Teller position at First American Bank and Trust?
We are seeking Tellers and a Floating Teller to support our Metairie branches. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Teller/Floating Teller will deliver courteous customer service while accurately handling routine banking transactions and providing support across branches as needed. The role also assists with vault operations and new account support.
Responsibilities
- Handle customer contact involving standard paying and receiving functions.
- Cash checks, accept deposits, and receive payments.
- Process loan payments and assist customers with checkbook balancing.
- Assist with vault operations, including balancing and verifying coins and currency.
- Sell cashier’s checks and money orders.
- Order bank supplies.
- Support new account functions.
- Floating tellers will work at surrounding branches as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in banking preferred but not required.
- Cash-handling experience preferred.
- Fraud-detection knowledge or experience.
- Strong customer-service and communication skills.
Salary : $15 - $20
