Hours: Part Time- 18-20 hrs/week (Evenings and Weekend availability required)
Compensation: $16.60/hour

Position Summary
The wellness stocker is the primary contact person for customers seeking information or resources about products in the department, such as supplements, personal care, and mercantile. The wellness stocker also helps to receive orders, stocks shelves/displays and assists with ordering. Most duties are completed on the sales floor and therefore require frequent interaction with customers including assisting with product location and information.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Enthusiasm about Wellness products (supplements, body care, etc.)
- Previous stocking, receiving, experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service and team skills
- Calmness, patience, and tact when dealing with a wide variety of customers
- Retail grocery experience desirable; Natural foods retail experience preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
- Ability to maintain files, keep invoices and paperwork organized
- Ability to accept direction, show enthusiasm, and demonstrate initiative in completing assigned tasks
- Ability to use in-store reference materials to research product questions from customers
- Basic computer experience, PC preferred: MS Word, Excel, Access
- Ability to lift 50#
- Of legal age to sell alcohol (18 yrs)
- Ability to communicate clearly, follow directions and make positive suggestions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Customer Service
- Prioritizes the customer experience over other aspects of the job, making sure to greet and assist customers who are in the aisle even while engaged in stocking and/or ordering
- Makes sure to pass along comments and suggestions from customers to management in order to enhance the customer experience
Stocking
- Stock Wellness products
- Keep back-stock organized and properly stored so that other team members may locate items easily and retrieve them safely from shelves
- Maintain fullness and neatness of displays, shelves and end aisles
- Verify correct pricing labels and tags
- Rotate stock and monitor expiration dates
- Label out of stock items
- Follow-up on items without shelf tags, signs or prices
- As experience and familiarity with department grows, may perform some ordering of product, as assigned
- Maintains cleanliness of department
- Assist with quarterly inventories
Receiving Deliveries
- Ensure all products billed have been received
- Record and process credits
- Make sure all invoices are signed, dated and entered in the receiver log
- Inspect product for poor quality, damaged items
- Process special orders
- Sign, date and file all invoices accordingly
Product knowledge
- Continues to develop product knowledge, and attends trainings as available
- Acts as primary contact person for customers seeking information or resources about Wellness products
Miscellaneous
- Takes on extra duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Must also follow those expectations as outlined on the most current Staff Performance Standards
