Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on desktop fixes when remote tools aren’t suitable, including hardware repairs and replacing defective parts.
- Install and configure hardware, software, and peripherals across network infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve software issues.
- Provide onsite desktop/laptop support: setup, configuration, imaging, and deployment.
- Onboard and off-board users, including account creation and password support.
- Handle service desk requests via phone, web portal, and email courteously and efficiently.
- Test, image, and clean PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and related hardware.
- Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to resolve issues.
- Install antivirus software and keep definitions current.
- Perform preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Uphold company safety and security standards.
- Escalate unresolved tickets to MSP Help Desk or management.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Computer Technology or related field, and/or 2 years of hands-on break-fix experience with laptops and desktops.
- Broad technical knowledge spanning hardware, software, operating systems, networks, and security.
- Strong proficiency in Office 365 administration.
- Experience with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Servers
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with strong listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work quickly and autonomously under pressure, with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation for onsite visits and adequate auto insurance.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work after-hours and/or weekends, as needed.
