Financial Analyst

Firm Financial Partners (“FFP”) offers confidential, and professional finance and accounting services, focused on high-level executive incentive compensation design and administration, business transactions, and CFO services . For over 20 years, the FFP team has helped companies incentivize its Executives to maximize after-tax cash flow to the Owners of privately held companies. We have built and administered programs where the Owners and Executives are compensated when the Executives create value by generating cash flow.

Occasionally, transactions we work on are publicly disclosed. For example, our team was involved in many financial aspects, including executive compensation, of the sale of Orange-Co LP for $274 million in 2014 and another early-stage investment that resulted in a $67 billion initial public offering ("IPO") in 2021.

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team. This position will be Hybrid with 3 days in our Largo, FL office (Tue, Wed, Thu) in the Tampa area and 2 days remote (Mon & Fri). Travel is required approximately 2-4 times per year in the SE US.

Job Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for a variety of financial activities including but not limited to:

  • Developing financial models and communicating results through clear, and concise verbal and written reports.
  • Evaluating financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with budgets and forecasts.
  • Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
  • Performing scenario and sensitivity analysis, and other reporting to support strategic decision-making for our clients.
  • Evaluating existing processes and recommending opportunities for improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Reviewing legal documents and highlighting salient points.
  • Reviewing accounting reports.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions.
  • Performing ad hoc analyses as requested.

  • Ability to effectively articulate ideas, results of financial analysis, and actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills including a deep understanding of accounting and financial concepts and application.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to influence others and prioritize projects.
  • Ability to work independently and identify information and/or resources needed to complete assignments.
  • Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced / growth environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • A CPA and / or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience with national accounting firm auditing or transaction work.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling experience (3 years).
  • Strong business partnering skills and collaboration with multiple clients.
  • Ability to update reports / dashboards and provide analysis.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
