Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced GPS Motor Grader Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have strong heavy equipment operation experience and a solid understanding of construction site practices and safety standards.
This role is responsible for accurately grading and preparing surfaces for paving and other construction activities, directly contributing to the quality and success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a GPS-equipped Motor Grader (CAT 120 or similar) with precision and efficiency (experience required).
- Perform fine and rough grading to design specifications
- Utilize sonic tracer systems for accurate elevation and slope control
- Read and interpret grade stakes, plans, and GPS data
- Maintain equipment and perform daily inspections
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors, foremen, and paving crews
- Follow all safety procedures and site regulations
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience operating a CAT 120 Motor Grader
- Hands-on experience with GPS grading systems
- Sonic tracer experience required
- Strong knowledge of construction site practices and grading tolerances
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
Preferred Skills:
- Experience on roadway, commercial, or large-scale construction projects
- Strong attention to detail and grade accuracy
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
